Social Media - What Do I Post?
I primarily use Instagram to share about Mandy’s Mystical Market. But that’s not all! I also use Pinterest, Facebook, Depop, Tik Tok, and VSCO!
It’s important to broaden your horizons and post on multiple platforms. Posting on multiple different social medias can help reach new customers and help your business gain more traction.
Meta’s business suite app makes it easy. The company Meta owns Instagram and Facebook and created the business suite app. The app allows you to post on both Instagram and Facebook simultaneously with a singular post. You can also track your statistics, answer messages from both Instagram and Facebook, and schedule posts. Posting on both platforms allows you to reach two different types of customers. Instagram tends to have a younger, more trendy audience while Facebook has an older audience.
When making a social media for your business, look into if there is a “business account” option. This is offered on most social media platforms and allows access to a variety of helpful tools. Some tools include creating ads, tracking views by post or day, creating saved replies, and several other business growth features.
Once you create all of your accounts, it’s important to make them accessible to your customers! Using a “linktree” helps keep all of your social media in just one link and is very easy to use. Here is my linktree if you would like to check it out! I keep this link attached to or in the bio of all my social media accounts.
Now that you have all your accounts, time to post! When posting, for example, a new product. There are certain things I make sure to include. I always make sure photos, descriptions, details, hashtags, and some aesthetic features are included in each of my posts.
Including photos helps potential customers see what they’re buying from different angles, where it comes from, and what it looks like when used to get a better feel for the item.
Descriptions are vital because they simply describe what the item is! It can share what the item is used for and certain details on the item such as designs or elements.
Details are also crucial because they provide extra information on your product that you might not get from photos or a description. Details include variations to your product like sizes or color, where you can buy the item, how much the item is, and so on.
Lastly, when posting on social media, it is important to make use of hashtags. Hashtags will help more people find you on that platform. Using relevant hashtags will group your post along with posts like it. This will make it easier for people to find your post along with other posts like it. You can use hashtags such as #exposure #explore and #smallbusinessowner
