What I've Learned from Running a Business

  Hello and welcome back! This week I will go over what I’ve learned from running my business! If you have any questions feel free to contact me through my Instagram @mandys.mystical.market Since starting my business in November 2020, I’ve learned quite a bit. I’ve learned how to market my business, how to communicate with customers, how to budget my spendings, and how to create different products.  When I first started my business, I would only post or advertise through Instagram. That was only successful for a little while, until I hit a plateau with my customer base. I then learned to expand to other apps and social media such as TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook to reach different audiences.  On the topic of marketing, I’ve learned what strategies work and don’t work. Social Media - What Do I Post?

I primarily use Instagram to share about Mandy’s Mystical Market. But that’s not all! I also use Pinterest, Facebook, Depop, Tik Tok, and VSCO!  It’s important to broaden your horizons and post on multiple platforms. Posting on multiple different social medias can help reach new customers and help your business gain more traction. Meta’s business suite app makes it easy. The company Meta owns Instagram and Facebook and created the business suite app. The app allows you to post on both Instagram and Facebook simultaneously with a singular post. You can also track your statistics, answer messages from both Instagram and Facebook, and schedule posts. Posting on both platforms allows you to reach two different types of customers. Instagram tends to have a younger, more trendy audience while Facebook has an older audience.  When making a social media for your business, look into if there is a “business account” option. Welcome to my blog! My name is Mandy and I am the owner and creator of Mandy’s Mystical Market. Mandy’s Mystical Market is my business that was created in 2019 and originally started on Instagram. It has now grown and moved to Etsy! My business has multiple platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Etsy.  Within my business I list items that I make and people order them! I then make the items, pack them, and then ship them to their final home! I create intricate, wire wrapped pendants, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings. My jewelry consists of crystal cabochons as well as unique beads. I also create crochet work!
